Planting & Care

1. Planting: First, choose an area with full sun and well-drained soil for your White Jade Pineapple. Around 6 to 8 hours of sun per day is appropriate.

To plant your Pineapple, dig a hole deep enough to cover its root ball. After placing your plant, tamp down the soil while backfilling to avoid any air pockets. Water your Pineapple to settle the soil that surrounds the roots. If you’re planting in a container, select one that’s approximately two times the width of the root ball. From there, the planting instructions are the same – and after you’ve planted, place your potted Pineapple Plant in front of a sunny window.

2. Watering: Water regularly during the first full growing season. To test when and how much to water, simply check the top 2 to 3 inches of soil – if it’s dry, it’s time to water until it’s moist but not oversaturated.

3. Fertilizing: Generally, Pineapples take up nutrition through their leaves, so very little fertilizer, if any, is necessary. If you do fertilize, use liquid solutions like seaweed extract or fish emulsion.
